Notes for Using |
* The temperature limit of ±100°C to prevent sudden cooling and heating. * Prohibited to contact with hydrofluoric acid. * Prohibited to heat and do not dry in an oven. * The large crystal samples must be crushed and knocked to be small one before put it into an agate mortar for grinding. * The substances with excessive hardness and coarse particles, it is better not to grind them in agate to avoid scratching the surface. * The bowl should be placed on an object that is not easy to slide When grinding and the pestle remains vertical. * It's dangous to grind explosive substances which only can be crushed lightly. * To the corrosive sibstances, a thick paper or plastic sheet should be covered on the surface of the bowl, and then a pestle should be inserted into the central hole before grinding. * The weight of solids contained does not exceed 1/3 of its volume. * The mortar should be washed with water after use, or it can be washed with dilute hydrochloric acid first, and then rinsed with water. Grind with a pinch of salt and wash. |
