1.Silicon carbide crucibles are tested according to a variety of standards, including ASTM C638, ISO 9001 and JIS R1702.
2.These standards specify the requirements for the design, manufacture and performance of silicon carbide crucibles.
3.The standards cover the physical and chemical characteristics of the crucibles, their performance in a variety of applications, and their compatibility with other materials.
4.Additionally, these standards require that the crucibles are manufactured in accordance with accepted industry practices, and that they are tested for conformance to the applicable standards.
	
 
The SiC silicon carbide crucible must be kept in a dry and ventilated place, preferably on a wooden carrier.Avoid placing the crucible directly on the brick, soil or cement ground. The crucible will be damaged by moisture, which will reduce the melting efficiency and service life of the crucible. In serious cases, the bottom will even fall off.
The service life of the crucible can be greatly extended by using the correct method of preheating the crucible.
(1) According to different types of crucible furnaces, when the crucible is used for the first time, the crucible should be preheated to about 200 ° C for 60-120 minutes without feeding, and dried for 60 minutes.The purpose is to volatilize the moisture inhaled on the surface of the crucible.Prevent bursting at the beginning of use.
(2) After preheating, the crucible should be heated to 800℃(about 2 hours) as soon as possible, and keep warm for 20~30 minutes, and then rise to or fall to the working temperature.The purpose is to quickly pass through the graphite crucible easy oxidation temperature region.
(3) The crucible usually does not need to be preheated again after this preheating, unless the crucible is damp again.
