Cold isostatic pressing, also called isostatic pressure, compared with rigid module pressing, its advantages are as follows:

1.Available to press concave, hollow, slender and other complex shaped product.

2.Friction loss is small, and pressure is low.

3.Pressure is transmitted from every direction, and density distribution of pressed blank is uniform, also with high strength.

4.Module cost is low.

However, the disadvantage of this method is that easy to control the size and shape, also not easy to realize automation so with low output. For later disadvantage, dry bag isostatic pressing can be used to some degree. Since operator does not contact liquid medium directly, so it’s called dry bag. Output rate can reach 500~3800 pieces/hour for one unit of equipment. Dry bag isostatic pressing is apply to production of ceramic balls, tubes filters, grinding wheel, spark plug, etc. The pressure is generally 70~200MPa, and material for module can be natural rubber, neoprene, polyurethane, PVC, etc.
